What is the limitation of AppCrypt for Windows‘s trial version?

The trial version allows you to use the full functions in 3 days.

I use the trial version and I forgot the password I set, what should I do?

The trial version will expire after 3 days, when it expires, you can restart your computer and then a window will pop up to ask you to activate or close the program, you can select to close the program without entering the password.

I want to add an app into the App Lock list, but how to find where the app is located?

Run the app that you want to lock, open Task Manager, find the target app, right click the app and choose "property", then it will show you the location of this app.

Why is my browser locked and I cannot find the browser app in the App Lock list?

Did you install the browser extension Cisdem Web Blocker before and then disable/uninstall it? Cisdem AppCrypt will automatically lock the browser once detecting the extension is disabled. To unlock the browser, you can either reinstall the extension or contact our support team at support@cisdem.com

Can Cisdem AppCrypt launch automatically when I reboot my computer?

Yes, please go to the Main Window> Preferences of Cisdem AppCrypt, check the option 'Launch at system startup'.

Can I password protect files or folders?

No, AppCrypt for Windows is designed for Apps, thus it doesn’t work with folders or files.

Why AppCrypt for Windows doesn’t ask for password when I access to the password protected App?

There are several reasons may cause this issue.

1. Please click the padlock icon at the right lower task bar to check if the AppLock is enabled.

2. Please check the Schedule setting, the schedule is used to set the duration to lock the apps.

How can I block the websites still in InPrivate or Incognito window?

Please go to the manage extension window, click Details, check or slide on the option Allow in InPrivate or Allow in Incognito.

I didn't add Chrome into the App Lock list, why is my Chrome locked?

Please confirm if someone who disabled or removed the extension Cisdem WebBlock from Chrome, once the extension is detected as being removed or disabled, Cisdem will auto lock the browser. You can enable or install the extension again to fix this issue.

Why can't I drag and drop the app into the lock list?

You can only drag and drop the .ext/.ink files into the lock list, also you can drag and drop the app's shortcut icon into the lock list.

How can I lock the apps that were downloaded from Microsoft Store?

Normally no shortcut icon will be created if you downloaded and installed the app from the Microsoft Store. You can go to the path C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.4297127D64EC6_1.3.7.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe to locate the exe file and add it into the lock list.

Why can’t I remove AppCrypt for Windows? It gives error when I try to uninstall it.

As you haven’t quit AppCrypt for Windows, it’s protecting your apps in the background. Click the key icon at the right end of menu bar, and then click Open Main Window. Click the menu button on the main window, and then select Exit in submenu. After quit AppCrypt for Windows, you are able to uninstall it.
