Yandex provides a dedicated video search feature where you can find videos and shorts from any third-party platform by keyword. All video content is actually stored on platforms such as YouTube. Yandex just indexes them and generates its own redirect links.
Yandex.com allows you to filter by source. You can search for videos only from or all except Dzen, Mail.ru, OK.ru, Rutube, VK video, YouTube, or Kinopoisk.ru (provided by Yandex.ru). In addition to the main video sources, Yandex can also fetch videos from Vimeo, Dailymotion, and more.
I tried downloading Yandex videos from common sources using different video downloaders. The following 3 were the most effective in app, online, and extension tools. Check out the quick comparison table and the conclusion.

3 useful tips:
- Batch processing. In the “Download” interface, click “+” on the bottom left. Then, you can paste unlimited Yandex links into the pop-up window. Click “OK” to batch parse.
- Download from source like Kinopoisk.ru with M3U8 link. Install a plugin called m3u8 Sniffer TV from the Chrome web store. Once it detects M3U8 videos, it will show you the M3U8 link. Just download with M3U8 link using Cisdem Video Converter.
- Convert Yandex video. Click the first icon at the top. The “convert” module offers more format options and also allows you to extract audio from downloaded Yandex videos.
9xbuddy.in (proxies are 9xbuddy.com and 9xbuddy.online) is one of the few online video downloaders out there for parsing Yandex links directly, although it has limited sources. And the page looks great, not bombarded with ads.
When grabbing OK and Kinopoisk videos, you need to use the domain yandex.com instead of yandex.ru to get high-quality videos. In addition, you can only download YouTube and Kinopoisk video and audio streams separately and then merge them manually.

The extension can perfectly save Yandex videos from Rutube and VK. Dzen video adds expires and sig parameters to its M3U8 link to protect the video, so sometimes the download fails. It can be cracked with free Jdownloader app.

In general, if the video downloader doesn't allow you to get a video from Yandex link, it means that the original link doesn't work either.
