In other words, when you print contacts from Gmail via Google Contacts, you may get a stack of papers with densely words and figures. This is probably not what you want.

Apart from PDF, you can print to CSV file format when using Google Contacts to print Gmail contacts. However, few people know about what is a CSV file and how to open CSV file.
CSV, short for Comma-Separated Values, is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the file is a data record. Each record consists of one or more fields, separated by commas.
If you are not familiar with CSV, this method is not the best for you.
1. Select the contacts from Gmail and click “Export” in the left side.
In the pop-up window, select Google CSV. Click “Export”. The CSV file will be downloaded to your computer.
2. Find the CSV file on your computer and open it with Numbers or Microsoft Excel.
When opening it, you will find that there are plenty of items and you have to move your mouse to see the complete form, which is difficult to print out in a good format.
When you print contacts from Gmail via Google contacts, what you will get is a stack of papers in mess.
I have 145 Gmail contacts in all. When I try to print them out via Google, I need 30 papers, which is more than I expected. All information of a contact is printed out. You cannot choose the content to print.
The more contacts you have, the more papers you may need. For instance, you have 1000+ Gmail contacts, you may need 100+ papers.
You can imagine there is a stack of papers covered with a mass of figures and words, which makes you frustrated.
I don’t think the information of contacts is all needed. Sometimes, we just simply need name, phone or email. To some extent, printing Contacts from Gmail via Google is a waste of paper resource.
When you try to open the CSV file, you might find that your computer cannot read the file format successfully. Usually, CSV files can be opened with Numbers or Microsoft Excel.
If there is no appropriate software in your computer, you need to convert the CSV file to other compatible formats.
After you export Gmail contacts to CSV, you will find the data in the table is very confusing. You need to delete a lot of useless items manually, because there are so many items and blank spaces in one line that you couldn’t print them on a piece of paper.
CSV is a big mess!
It will takes you several hours to adjust and typeset the format.
